Jemaine Clement? Is that you?

These guys know what they’re doing! They’re hilarious and insightful, and tell the greatest most interesting stories from history. Also, who knew Jemaine Clement had a side gig as a podcaster. (Here’s looking at you “Adam”.)

Five Stars!

Yo! I started listening a while ago and left you this very standard review: “a clever, witty and genuinely fun podcast. Highly recommend!” . Still mean that but Just wanted to add as a former resident of the UK and then NY and now elsewhere in US. Really appreciate your take, perspective and overarching sense of humor. Hope you keep it up and hold it down MFs.

Hooked from the First Episode

Absolutely obsessed with The Compendium.” Kyle and Adam have somehow found the perfect balance between fascinating storytelling, sharp humour, and complete chaos. Every episode feels brilliantly researched but never stuffy, and I always come away having learned something weird, dark, or wildly interesting. Genuinely one of the most entertaining podcasts I’ve listened to in ages.

Brainy, bingeable & brilliant banter

I learn something new every time I listen but I also find the hosts unbelievably funny, and relatable. Their banter makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, like we're in the room with them. If someone mentions beanie babies, tetris or nuns - I have 3 incredible tales ready to go, all because of this podcast! Everytime I've recommended it to a friend, they love it, it's one of those podcasts that everyone can find an episode that they enjoy, there's so many to choose from now!

The things really are fascinating…

I love the range of interesting topics this podcast covers and the amusing way Kyle and Adam cover them. Their overview of the Chinchilla kidnapping is my favourite so far - truth is stranger than fiction!

Educational, yet helarious

I love these two silly goofballs, they are able to present the topics so well. They cover a range of things from all over the world. Their podcast is really easy to listen to, and perfect for any time. Even if you're not interested in a topic, they will still make the episode entertaining and suspenseful. Oh, and they do fulfill their promise, I can now confidently stand my ground in any social gathering. Even if it's a story you already know, you will still come away learning something new.
